Tobacco companies donate to community organizations to build an image as good corporate citizens. However, the money that they donate comes from selling a product that kills more than 400,000 people a year.

 

Community Partnerships have worked with local businesses and organizations to help stop tobacco companies from targeting our kids through advertising, sponsorship, and promotion. Over 2,600 community organizations, local event committees, bars/nightclubs and other venues signed policies to not accept tobacco industry funding.
